RELEVENCY: Environmental Services including Asbestos Removal:
This contract was selected to demonstrate our project experience in providing Environmental Remediation Services for an Extremely Sensitive client and coordination around multiple trades in an occupied Building:
Lakeshore recently completed a unique asbestos abatement and selective demolition project at the Regions Headquarters Building, in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. The work was performed under two Purchase Orders (PJ153110 and PJ153241) totaling $244,700. Lakeshore began the project on August 19, 2016, and worked mostly at night and during the weekends, to minimize the potential impact to customers. An active access/egress for bank customers and employees remained in place throughout the project, which was completed on November 26, 2016.
The scope of work included the abatement of asbestos containing ceiling tile, drywall, and structural steel fireproofing, as well as selective demolition of the ceiling tile grid and light fixtures. One requirement to satisfy the scope was to erect an elevated work platform at a height of greater than 25’ from the floor to the working platform. LEC was able to accomplish this project, with the unique logistical and physical challenges, without incident and within the anticipated period of performance.
